Somerset County Cricket Club Courses

Cricket at Clifton College Somerset CCC is one of the leading county cricket teams in England and has a fantastic reputation for successfully developing young players. These courses have been specifically designed by the Performance Director, who will head the coaching week. He will be assisted by highly-qualified coaches, who have a minimum level 2 qualification.

In 2007 Somerset CCC won the Division 2 County Championship and were promoted to Division 1 of the Pro 40 league – a fantastic season. Over recent years the club has invested heavily in the selection and development of young players, many of whom are now playing in the first team. A high number of Somerset youth players have represented the West of England at various ages, and many have represented England under age-teams.

On these courses the aim of the coaches is to quickly identify the needs of each individual player and then develop a programme to suit his/her needs. The coaches will work throughout the week to ensure that players leave the course with a better understanding of their skills and personal attributes.
